Vitamin c and acid-base balance

Hello,

I Take 8 g of vitamin c a day and I feel realy better.

And I would like to know if it is safe for the body to take so much acidity. Is there a danger to break the acid-base balance ??

The other forms of vitamin c which are less acid, are they as effective as acid ascorbic ?? Linus Pauling took only the usual acid ascorbic form.

Is it possible to mix something to buffer the acid ?? Like baking soda ??? Does it reduce the efficacy of the acid ascorbic ??

Thank you

Sebastien
